WE’RE LOVING Qantas’ New Safety Video
There’s a lot happening at Qantas as the airline celebrates its 100th year—New aircraft, new routes, celebrations, commemorations and a major exhibition, just to name a few.
It’s an exciting time.
And there’s plenty of fun, too. Like the airline’s latest safety video celebrating 100 years of the national carrier’s history. Take a look below.
We enjoyed a few genuine chuckles through the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Fun, right?
Keep an eye out for the video next time you fly with Qantas.
Qantas’ Centenary Exhibition
Also keep an eye out for the ‘Qantas Centenary – 100 Years of the Spirit of Australia’ exhibition. It kicks off its tour of four capital cities on 27 June at Brisbane’s Queensland Museum.
On display in Brisbane until 16 November 2020—the date of the airline’s 100th birthday—it then travels to the State Library of NSW in Sydney (December 2020 to April 2021), Scienceworks Museum in Melbourne (June to August 2021), before its final display in Perth from December 2021 to February 2022.
A few historical highlights of the fully immersive exhibition that showcases the past, present and future of Qantas include:
- Scrapbooks of Fergus McMaster, Qantas co-founder.
- A replica 747 First Class Lounge from the 1970s.
